Monthly Crime/Traffic Stats: December 2023
The ending of one year and the beginning of the next, and as always, let’s keep up our guard for those that are up to no good. Always be mindful of your surroundings.

The following is only a summary of crime and traffic incidents in Huntwick. If more details are needed, contact HCSO at (346) 286-1600.
Here are the incidents that occurred during the month:

- Criminal Mischief, on December 26, at 3:26 p.m. on Braxtonshire Court. Reported by Deputy Schubert.
- Disturbance Family, on December 13, at 1:22 a.m. on Glen Erica Drive. Reported by Deputy Avery.
- Domestic Prevention, on December 13, at 0:19 a.m. on Glen Erica Drive. Reported by Deputy Avery
- Domestic Prevention, on December 3, at 4:13 p.m. on Court of York. Reported by Deputy Cooper.
- Domestic Prevention, on December 30, at 8:36 a.m. on Coral Ridge Road. Reported by Deputy Garica.
- They also responded to the following:
- Five (5) Alarm Local, (1) Disturbance other, thirty-four (34 Public infrastructure checks, seventy-five (75) Mud building checks, twenty-four (24) Park checks, three hundred-ninety-four (394) Contract checks, two (2) Suspicious person, one (1) DOA, sixty-four (64) Vacation watches, and one (1) Welfare check.
TRAFFIC:
The speed limit in Huntwick is 30 miles an hour!

Our patrol deputies also, responded to the following:
Two (2) Suspicious vehicles, one (1) Abandoned vehicles, one (1) traffic Hazard and one (1) Traffic Initiatives.

As a follow-up to our concerns about some of our deputy’s performance, I have scheduled a meeting this month with Assistant Chief Thomas Diaz, who leads the HCSO Law Enforcement Command, which includes Patrol, Homeland Security, Patrol Support Services Bureau, and Criminal Investigations.

- Illegally parked Vehicle, on December 31, at 10:14 a.m. on Coral Gables Drive. Reported by Deputy Schubert.
- Vehicle Speeding, on December 19, at 2:52 p.m. on Balmore Circle. Reported by Deputy Schubert.
- Vehicle Stolen, on December 26, at 9:35 a.m. on Coral Ridge Road. Reported by Deputy Schubert.

Be watchful for anything suspicious or inappropriate, especially for our children, young adults, and seniors. Please don’t leave valuables in plain sight and unattended. Remember, posting it on social media is different from calling the Sheriff’s dispatch.
