Monthly Crime/Traffic Stats: February 2024

The following is only a summary of crime and traffic incidents in Huntwick. If more details are needed, contact HCSO at (346) 286-1600.

Here are the incidents that occurred during the month:

  • Discharge Firearm, on 2/24 at 6:26 p.m., on Braxtonshire Court/Barons Bridge Drive. Report by Deputy Duarte.
  • Theft other, on 2/23 at 3:26 p.m., on Verdant Way. Report by Deputy Duarte.
  • They also responded to the following:
    • Two (2) Alarm Local, thirty-four (34) Public infrastructure checks, two (2) Mental Health calls, eighty-one (81) Mud building checks, twenty-two (22) Park checks, four- hundred-eighty-four (484) Contract checks, one (1) Suspicious person, twenty-six (26) Vacation watches, and two (2) Welfare checks.

TRAFFIC:

The speed limit in Huntwick is 30 miles an hour!

Our patrol deputies also, responded to the following:
One (1) Suspicious vehicle.

Traffic Stops and Illegally Parked Vehicles:

We’ve had a drop off during February in traffic safety and enforcement, but still a
decent month with:

  • Fourteen (14) Traffic Initiatives.
  • Ten (10) Traffic stop, (all warnings) Reported by Deputy Pickett, Schubert, and other.
  • Eight (8) Vehicle Stickered (expired or not displayed registration) Report by Deputy Pickett.
  • Four (4) Illegally parked vehicle. Reported by Deputy Pickett.

Note: Please keep your driveway well-lit and mount cameras if possible. If you park in your driveway, please take your valuables and lock your car.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: LET’S NOT BE A VICTIM!

Be watchful for anything suspicious or inappropriate, especially for our children, young adults, and seniors. Please don’t leave valuables in plain sight and unattended. Remember, posting it on social media is different from calling the Sheriff’s dispatch.
