What is the Huntwick Swim Team?
The Huntwick Patriots Swim Team is a non-profit organization formed to promote competitive swimming for all Huntwick residents and eligible non-resident participants ages 4 to 18 years. It is the goal of the Huntwick Patriots to:
- Provide safe, healthful exercise and an opportunity to practice social skills in a positive environment for all participants.
- Help each swimmer realize their potential as an aquatic athlete through instruction in stroke technique, starts, turns, and endurance given by qualified coaches.
- Develop the qualities of good sportsmanship, self-discipline, and endurance.
- Provide a way to meet your neighbors and continue a fun and exciting Huntwick tradition.
Practice begins in late April and meets begin in May. We have 5 meets a year, 2 or 3 of which are hosted right here in Huntwick Forest! Each year , we participate a Divisional Meet in June and then we have a wrap-up Awards party following the conclusion of the season. Huntwick Patriot Swimmers have a great time and keep coming back year after year!
